Hello Everyone,

We hope you are all enjoying pleasant spring weather wherever you may be and if boating is in your future that preparations for the season are going well. Paul and I are now back to Malta after a busy winter of boat shows, studio time editing new episodes of Distant Shores, and several hectic but fun weeks of filming in various Caribbean cruising destinations.

Two-Step has been sold!
Our big news this month is that Two-Step has been sold! Her new owners are a delightful couple from Malta who have been fans of Distant Shores for many years so have shared in the boat's adventures through the TV series and have affectionate feelings for the boat. Two-Step will be in good hands when we say goodbye to her at the end of June after a month's cruise along the west coast of Italy.

“Join the Crew” charters
Thanks to everyone who has written to us about the possibility of chartering with us for a week or two this winter aboard our new boat, “Southerly Explorer”. We have had a very positive response to this idea so invite you to “Join the Crew” this winter to share in the adventure, develop navigation skills, and/or build offshore passage-making experience during various legs of our voyage. The voyage includes passages from the UK to the Canary Islands, a transatlantic passage to the Caribbean, and Caribbean island-hopping. Joining our team are Jill and Peter Schaffner of Expedition Yacht Services on Lake Simcoe, just north of Toronto, Canada, who will be coordinating our “Join the Crew” program.
